Try four representative work tasks
The worked interview guide asks you to lock a discount reference, total two conditions, handle a missing service key and summarize team revenue. Each task includes its source, complete answer and a mistake worth explaining aloud.
For a short example, three quantities of four units at USD 12, two at USD 18 and five at USD 6 produce line values of USD 48, USD 36 and USD 30. The total is USD 114. Multiplying the sum of quantities by the sum of unit prices would combine unrelated rows.
In a worksheet, use a row formula such as =B2*C2, copy it for each record, then add the line values. The arithmetic lesson practises this relationship.
Use the diagnostic to choose what to practise
The coordinated diagnostic samples up to twelve current tasks: cell selection, arithmetic, references, conditional totals and logic, lookup, text, sorting, filtering, pivots, FILTER and TEXTSPLIT. Its displayed total follows the available tasks.
The first checked answer counts, including a wrong answer. Recommendations point to observed misses and unobserved topics. A high sample score does not establish mastery of the whole course.

Prepare a clear explanation
- Name the question and source range.
- State the formula or operation and its unit.
- Show a check against the source and explain an edge case.
- Describe what additional information would change the conclusion.
Use the original interview workbook for another sample, or choose a role-specific problem. These are teaching tasks, rather than any employer’s actual assessment.
